Dietetic complete food for dogs to support renal function in case of chronic renal insufficiency.

Average quantities for feeding dogs are listed in the table shown. Recommended feeding duration: Initially up to 6 months. It is recommended that advice from a veterinarian be sought before use and before extending the period of use. The correct feeding quantity is best determined by regularly checking the dog’s weight. Simply feed dry. Fresh drinking water should be available at all times.

The switch to Vetline Renal should be made at a time when your dog is in good general health (i.e. not suffering from nausea or similar symptoms). Otherwise, he may associate his discomfort with the new food and refuse to eat it permanently.

To increase acceptance of the new food, it may help to warm it up slightly before feeding. Adding a little fat (e.g. butter) can also help if your dog shows little appetite.

Important: A dog with kidney disease should not go hungry! If your dog refuses to eat for several meals in a row and/or shows signs of nausea and vomiting, please contact your vet.
